Deep Tissue
Deep tissue massage is designed to relieve pain and muscle tension throughout the body. Deep tissue technique uses very little to no lubricant. Strokes will be considerably slower as the therapist waits for a slow release of tension. This type of massage therapy is extremely beneficial because it reaches the deepest layers of muscle, fascia and tendons. It helps breakdown adhesions, alleviate pain, increase mobility and improve overall function of the body.
Relaxation Massage
Relaxation massage is a gentle Swedish massage that uses smooth, gliding strokes to help you relax. The massage therapist will move at a slower pace and use lighter pressure. In a relaxation massage, there is less emphasis on working out chronic underlying muscle tension — the adhesions or “knots” and muscle restrictions in the muscle tissue. That’s because deep tissue work can be uncomfortable, and during a relaxation massage you just want to drift away and feel good.
Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release (MFR) is a very effective hands-on interactive technique that provides stretching, compression and sustained pressure into restricted areas of fascia (connective tissue) in the body to eliminate pain and restore motion.
Pregnancy Massage
Prenatal massage therapy is a soothing and natural treatment for swelling, muscle tension, and general discomfort associated with pregnancy. Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) use unique techniques to decrease muscle spasms related to postural changes and ligament laxity, as well as to improve circulation and drainage.
Infant Massage
Learn how to massage your baby! Our RMTs will teach you how to safely and easily massage your baby. Strokes for different parts of the body will be taught, as well as gentle movements and a routine for gas and constipation. Discover the many benefits of infant massage and gain confidence in responding to your baby’s cues.
Micro Point Stimulation Therapy
Designed to treat chronic and acute soft tissue pain and scars and adhesions by applying concentrated microcurrent impulses to trigger, motor, and acupuncture points, providing quick and effective pain relief for a long list of medical conditions.
Trigger Point Therapy
Used to treat hyper-irritable tender spots in tight bands of muscle fiber. These areas can “trigger”a painful response not only in that muscle but also in other areas of the body. Recommended for longstanding, chronic muscle tightness, chronic headaches, whiplash and post-injury.
Acupuncture
- Cupping Therapy: Uses cups to create suction on the skin, aiding in pain relief, inflammation reduction, improved blood flow, and relaxation.
- Acupressure: Applies pressure to acupuncture points using fingers, palms, or tools to alleviate pain and tension.
- Tui Na Massage: Chinese therapeutic massage that targets acupuncture points and meridians to promote Qi and blood flow.
- Gua Sha: Involves scraping the skin with a tool to improve circulation, relieve muscle tension, and support immune function.
- These modalities are tailored to each individual’s needs, offering a holistic approach to health and well-being.
